MPF Program Updates: MI Name Change Genworth to Enact

Effective Date: Immediately (unless otherwise noted)

PFIs are advised that Genworth Mortgage Insurance Corporation has formally changed its name to Enact Mortgage Insurance Corporation.

In relation to this change, the MPF Program is providing the following guidance:

PFIs may continue to deliver mortgage loans via ULDD batch or interactively via eMPF® with “Genworth” as the PMI Company value until October 28, 2022.

Effective October 31, 2022, the MPF Program will no longer accept Genworth as a valid value. PFIs must select “Enact” as the PMI Company value for Enact Mortgage Insurance Corporation, Genworth’s new name.

For mortgage loans delivered via ULDD batch, PFIs are required to deliver the value “Enact” in MI Company Name Type (Sort ID 413) and a valid value of “other” in the MI Company Name Type Other Description (Sort ID 414), this will only be required for batch submission, not interactive loan submissions.

For mortgage loans delivered interactively via eMPF, PFIs will need to select “04 Enact” as the PMI Company.

PFIs are encouraged to consult with their software partners and system providers to ensure their organization’s readiness in advance.
