The Glossary provides definitions to terms referenced within the MPF Guides. Unless a different definition is specifically provided within the MPF Guides, the words and phrases referenced within the Glossary shall have the definition as provided when they are used in the MPF Guides.

The MPF Program is committed to supporting the detection and reporting of mortgage fraud. We remind all Participating Financial Institutions (PFIs) and Servicers of their obligation to promptly escalate any suspected or confirmed mortgage fraud to both their MPF Bank and the MPF Provider.
