MPF Xtra Servicing Guide Updates

Effective Date: Immediately (unless otherwise noted)

Fannie Mae recently published Lender Letter LL-2022-07, providing information related to the Making Home Affordable Supplemental Directive 22-01 issued by the U.S. Department of the Treasury (Treasury), and its impact to Fannie Mae HAMP Modification policies.

According to the Lender Letter, the HAMP end date has been accelerated and the expanded Borrower “Pay for Performance” incentive will be advance on mortgage loans with a six-year anniversary of the Fannie Mae HAMP Trial Period Plan effective date on or after April 1, 2023.

The MPF Program believes no MPF Xtra mortgage loans are impacted by the acceleration of end date but is requesting Servicers who believe they are servicing MPF Xtra mortgage loan that may be impacted to contact the MPF Service Center at 877-FHLB-MPF or via email at MPF-Help@fhlbc.com by Friday January 20, 2023.
