New MPF Government MBS Custodian - Deutsche Bank National Trust Company

Effective Date: February 1, 2023

The MPF Government MBS Product is transitioning Custodians from Computershare Limited to Deutsche Bank National Trust Company (DBNTC). 

Effective immediately, PFIs delivering new MPF Government MBS mortgage loans must deliver the related custody docs to the new MPF Government MBS Custodian, DBNTC, using the address below:

Because this change only applies to MPF Government MBS loan files delivered to the Custodian on or after February 1, 2023, Computershare will continue to act as Custodian for all MPF Government MBS loans with files delivered to the Custodian prior to that date. PFIs must continue to contact Computershare for any questions/requests regarding those custody files.

PFIs who have custody files that are in the process of being certified with Computershare on February 1, 2023, should continue to work with Computershare to complete the certification process of those loans.

Over the next few weeks, the MPF Program will be transferring all MPF Government MBS mortgage loan files currently held by Computershare to DBNTC and will publish additional guidance as soon as it is available.

The applicable MPF Guides, Forms, Exhibits, and Applicable Agreements to reflect the new MPF Government MBS Custodian will be updated at a later date.

Effective immediately, and until updated documents are published, any reference to the Custodian in all such documents should be read to reference:

• Deutsche Bank National Trust Company for any MPF Government MBS loan(s) delivered on or after February 1, 2023, and
• Computershare for any MPF Government MBS loan(s) delivered prior to February 1, 2023.

PFIs may begin seeing DBNTC as a second Custodian in the applicable Custody Reports on eMPF^®. For additional information regarding the applicable custody reports, please refer to MPF Marketing Bulletin 2022-06.
