MPF Program Custody Updates

Effective Date: Immediately (unless otherwise noted)

The MPF Program would like to inform PFIs and Servicers of the following updates related to Deutsche Bank National Trust Company as the program custodian for MPF Government MBS loans, and Computershare as the program custodian for MPF Traditional and MPF Xtra:

MPF Government MBS  

As previously announced, the MPF Government MBS Product has transitioned Custodians from Computershare to Deutsche Bank National Trust Company (DBNTC).

Delivering Custody Documents

PFIs delivering new MPF Government MBS mortgage loans must deliver the related custody docs to the MPF Government MBS Custodian using the address below:

To assist PFIs delivering documents to the MPF Government MBS Custodian the following Exhibits have been created:

• Exhibit H-M: MPF Government MBS Custodian – Document Codes
• Exhibit I-M: MPF Government MBS Custodian – Exception Codes
• Exhibit J-M: MPF Government MBS Custody FAQs
• Exhibit G-M: MPF Government MBS Custodian Manifest Template*

*PFIs must use Exhibit G-M to create a list of the mortgage loan documents that are being included in a shipment to the MPF Government MBS Custodian, this includes listing custody documents such as collateral files, trailing documents, and exception clearing documents. PFIs are encouraged to begin using Exhibit G-M immediately but must do so in every shipment that is sent to the MPF Government MBS Custodian on or after April 3, 2023.

Release Requests & Custody Questions 

Effective immediately, all Release Requests and Release Status Changes for MPF Government MBS mortgage loans must be sent to santaana.custodyrequests@db.com.  

General Custody Questions, Copy and Research Requests must be sent to MPF_Custody@fhlbc.com.

The applicable MPF Forms and Exhibits have been updated to reflect the updated contact information.

As a reminder, the DBTNC custodian changes are only applicable to the MPF Government MBS Product, Computershare will continue to act as the MPF Program Custodian for all other MPF Products.

MPF Traditional & MPF Xtra    
                                                                                       
The MPF Program Custodian, for MPF Traditional and MPF Xtra continues to be Computershare.  Please note Computershare has updated the following email addresses:

• General Custody Questions, Copy and Research Requests must be sent to MPFRequest@computershare.com.
• Release Requests and Release Status Changes must be sent to MPFReleaseTeam@computershare.com.

Please note, the email address CTSMPFRequest@wellsfargo.com and MPFReleaseTeam@wellsfargo.com are no longer active.

To avoid delays, PFIs are encouraged to use the updated email addresses immediately. All applicable MPF Forms and Exhibits have been updated to reflect the new contact information.
