Underwriting

This on-demand webinar is on condominium project eligibility under the MPF Program. The differences between a condominium, PUD and detached site condominium are explained, along with the different methods for reviewing projects. Both limited and manual review requirements will be discussed. Learn about what makes a project ineligible and what documentation is necessary for a thorough project review.

Effective August 2nd, eMAQCSplus will begin to display a new Fatal Error message when an incomplete Delinquent Mortgage and Bankruptcy Status Report (Exhibit B file) is uploaded. This recording discusses how to avoid the common errors that will now prohibit an Exhibit B file from being successfully uploaded.

This on-demand webinar outlines recently announced changes that will impact servicers of MPF Xtra loans. Beginning on Monday, November 21st, servicers of MPF Xtra loans may receive email notifications requesting additional information about the status of certain defaulted loans. The purpose of this new process is to ensure that loss mitigation efforts are being handled according to Fannie Mae’s established timeframes and guidelines. During this recording we will discuss the steps that need to be taken when a request for more information is received.

Beginning April 3, 2023, Fannie Mae’s Servicing Management Default Underwriter (SMDU™) application will be integrated into eMACQS®plus. This will enhancement will help streamline MPF Xtra loss mitigation request submissions. SMDU is a robust application used for loss mitigation evaluations and case reporting activities. This integration will benefit MPF Xtra PFIs and Servicers by delivering operational efficiencies that will help improve the borrower experience. In addition to providing a brief overview of Fannie Mae's loss mitigation options, this webinar will present an overview of the SMDU screens, workflows and the submission process.

Proper usage of the Exception Clearing Report (ECR) will also be discussed, including guidance on its completion and how it should be utilized.
